Chabad Israeli gives. We give hope and help to newcomers from Israel; we give counseling and support; education; and social, cultural and religious programming for people of all ages and backgrounds. We give Israelis without extended family a communal place to celebrate holidays, and we give teens the opportunity to volunteer and gain leadership experience. Yom Kippur is described in many ways. One very poignant description is that it is “once in a year.” You see, the human soul is also described in many ways, with five different names, each describing a deeper level of her being.
